Make a batch from a recipe

A recipe says what goes in and what batch comes out; a work order uses it, and records what the run actually made.

Steps

  1. Write the recipe under Bill of Materials: the materials that go in and the batch that comes out.
  2. Raise a work order for it under Work Orders. The order consumes what it was given and, when it is finished, records what the run really made.
  3. Record spoilage under Scrap instead of hiding it in the quantity made.
  4. See what a batch cost under Costing.
