Correct something already recorded on a notice
There is no edit and no delete on a notice record — not on the screen, and not behind it. A mistake is corrected by recording the truth after it, and both readings stay.
You need
taxoffice.notices.update
Steps
- Open the notice’s record from the client’s file.
- Find the entry that is wrong and read it as it stands. It is staying: neither the screen nor the server has a way to change it or take it away.
- In What was done, write a new entry saying what the earlier one got wrong and what is true instead. Say enough that the two read as one correction.
- Press Record it. Both entries are now in the record, in the order they were made, and the later one is the practice’s answer.
This is not a limitation of the screen; it is the point of the app: Everything recorded against this notice, oldest first. Entries are added and never edited: a mistake is corrected by a later entry that names it.
