Accept a client’s figure, or correct it
The client entered what their paperwork said. What the firm decides is recorded beside it and never over it, and the difference between the two is the work an authority is shown.
You need
taxoffice.invoices.update
Steps
- Open the book for that client and period, and find the row.
- If the figures are right as they stand, press Accept. That is not "leave it alone": it copies the client’s figures into the firm’s column, so the row now carries a figure the firm has put its name to.
- If they are wrong, press Correct. The form opens with the client’s own numbers in it, in that invoice’s currency and to that invoice’s number of decimal places — neither is a choice you make here.
- Enter Net, Tax and Gross.
Net plus tax. The server refuses a correction where the three do not agree.
- Give the reason in Why.
Required. This is what justifies a figure that differs from the client’s paperwork.
- Press Record the correction.
The client’s own figures are never changed. What you enter here is the firm’s figure, and the difference between the two is what an authority is shown.
An amount with more decimal places than the currency has is refused rather than quietly rounded, because whichever way it rounded would be an amount nobody typed: That is not an amount in this currency. Check the number of decimal places.
