Read a notice the tax authority served
Notices are not a screen of their own. They arrive with the client, because a practice opening a client is opening it to see what has been served and what is running out of time.
You need
taxoffice.clients.readtaxoffice.notices.read
Steps
- Open the client from Clients. The notices are already on the file, under Notices served on this client.
- Each row is one document: its Authority reference, its Kind, the day it was Served on, and the two clocks that run from that day — Response due and Appeal due.
- A deadline the authority did not set reads None. It is left empty rather than filled in with a date of ours.
- Press Open to read what the practice has recorded against it:
Everything recorded against this notice, oldest first. Entries are added and never edited: a mistake is corrected by a later entry that names it.
- Nothing about the notice itself can be changed from here, and there is no way to delete one. It is what somebody else issued, and the app keeps it as served.
A client with nothing served on them says so rather than showing an empty table: No authority notice has been recorded against this client.
