Every screen and control named on this page is checked against the product at build time. If a name here does not match your screen, your workspace is on an older release.

Let a colleague record a stamp, an entry or a correction

Reading this app and writing to it are granted separately, and the three writes are granted one by one. Nothing about that is an accident of configuration.

You need

  • platform.roles.update

Steps

  1. Open Company settings and go to Permissions.
  2. taxoffice.filings.update lets somebody record that a return was prepared and reviewed. taxoffice.invoices.update lets them accept or correct a figure. taxoffice.notices.update lets them add to a notice’s record.
  3. Each of those three has to be granted by its own name. A blanket "may change anything" does not reach them: the platform deliberately keeps these three out of every wildcard, because each of them is a person putting their name to something an authority may later ask about.
  4. The reading permissions — taxoffice.clients.read, taxoffice.filings.read, taxoffice.notices.read and taxoffice.invoices.read — are ordinary, and a general read grant does reach them.
  5. Somebody with the reading half still sees the screens and the whole record; the buttons are simply not drawn, and the app says which side of the line they are on: You can read this notice but not add to its record. That permission is granted by name.

Who may hold what is decided once, for the whole business, on How permissions work.
