Run several companies as a group

If you own more than one company on SISC Suite, you can link them: customers and suppliers that are each other, drafts that cross over, and one trial balance with the trading between them taken out.

Steps

  1. As the owner, open Group of companies, create a group from one of your companies and add the others. Only companies you own can be added, and only while you still own every member.
  2. Link a customer in one company with the supplier that is the same business in the other: one side proposes, the other accepts. The owner or an administrator of each company can do this, each side deciding only in its own company.
  3. After that, an invoice to the linked customer arrives in the sister company as a draft in its list of received drafts. Nothing is posted there until someone records it, and recording is refused if any figure differs. A credit note arrives as a draft debit note; a void voids the sister’s bill unless it is paid, has debit notes or sits in a locked period, and then the draft says why.
  4. Open the group trial balance for an as-of date. It adds the companies up at the rates you typed for that date, takes the trading between linked parties out, and lists what does not match.

The group, its members, the rates and the trial balance belong to the owner alone. A company with no rate for the date is left out by name, never counted at one to one.
