Send notices and answer customers on WhatsApp Business
Send booking confirmations and reminders, delivery notices and invoice links from your own WhatsApp Business number, through Meta’s Cloud API.
Steps
- Open WhatsApp and enter your number’s details from Meta’s WhatsApp Manager and Business Settings. Saving checks them with Meta first; the token and the app secret are stored encrypted and never shown again.
- Add the delivery-report address (the webhook) in Meta, then send a test message to yourself.
- Choose which notices go by WhatsApp. WhatsApp only lets a business start a conversation with a template Meta has approved, so choose the template for each notice and what fills each placeholder.
- Record each customer’s consent: how and when they agreed. Without it nothing is sent to them, and a customer who writes STOP is taken off.
Chats open in the WhatsApp app: its tile appears among your apps as soon as a number is connected, and looks and works like WhatsApp. Replying needs its own permission, and an administrator can share a number with chosen people from the app’s Share button. In a chat you can reply to one message, react with an emoji, send pictures, files and voice notes, and start a New chat with an approved template. With the AI add-on, the ✨ button suggests a reply from the last messages; you read it and send it yourself.
