Bring your WhatsApp Business app chats into SISC
When you connect the number of the WhatsApp Business app you already use, SISC can show its past chats and contacts, and every message you go on sending from the phone, in the same inbox your team answers from.
Steps
- Connect the number with Connect WhatsApp and choose your existing WhatsApp Business app. In the app, when Meta asks, choose to share your chat history.
- Right after connecting, SISC asks Meta for the phone’s contacts and for up to about six months of its one-to-one chats. Meta allows this once, within a day of connecting. Group chats are not included.
- The chats arrive over the following minutes or hours. On the number’s card under Numbers, “Chats and contacts from the WhatsApp Business app” shows how far the import has come and how many messages and contacts arrived.
- If Meta refused the request, press Ask Meta again while the day lasts. If the business chose not to share its history, the card says so; new messages still arrive.
- In the inbox, a message written on the phone is marked “Sent from phone”. A reply sent from the phone counts as an answer, so the follow-up for an unanswered customer closes by itself.
- Pictures and files from the history are fetched only for about the last two weeks, and checked by File safety before they are kept. Older ones show as not imported.
Imported chats are linked to the contact with the same phone number, are not counted as unread and do not open the reply window. They follow your WhatsApp retention setting: anything older than it is never imported, and the rest is cleared when it passes.
