See what has moved through the accounts you hold money in
Read this screen for what it is, which is what your own books say. The accounts this business holds what it owns in, and every posting that has moved through them.
You need
accounting.banking.readaccounting.ledger.read
Steps
- Open Banking. The top of it is Asset accounts, and it lists more than the bank ones on purpose:
Every asset account, not only the bank ones. SISC has no bank-account record yet, so it cannot tell which of these is a bank — rather than guess from a code or a name, it shows them all and you choose.
- Choose one. Its movements load underneath, each with a Date, an Entry, an Description, a Debit or Credit, and a Running balance.
- Read the warning before you treat any of it as your bank position:
These figures are what your own books say, not what the bank says. SISC cannot import a bank statement yet, so nothing on this screen is reconciled and a difference between it and your bank would not show up here.
- To check these figures against a statement, that is a different screen — go to Reconciliation.
- If an account is missing, add it on Chart of Accounts:
Add the accounts this business holds money and other assets in, on the Chart of Accounts screen.
Seeing the accounts but no movements is a permission and not a fault: You do not have permission to read the general ledger, so what has moved through these accounts is hidden. The accounts themselves are listed above.
