Read everything posted to one account
When a total on a report looks wrong, this is the screen that says which postings make it up. Every posted movement on one account, oldest first.
You need
accounting.ledger.read
Steps
- Open General Ledger. It starts empty on purpose:
Pick an account above to see everything posted to it.
- Use the Account picker at the top — it says Choose an account until you do.
- Read the lines. Each carries a Date, the Entry it belongs to, its Description and a Debit or Credit.
- Note the entry number of anything that looks wrong, and open it on Journal Entries to see the other side of it.
An account with a balance but no lines here has not been posted to in this workspace: This account has no entries in the ledger yet.
Related
