Record personal details, and where wages are sent
Date of birth, a passport number and a bank account are not ordinary fields. They live on their own tab, behind their own permission, never in a list and never in an export — and the account number is written once and never shown again.
You need
hr.employees.personalhr.compensation.update
Steps
- Open Employees, click the person’s row and choose the Personal tab.
- If it shows a notice instead of the record, the permission is granted by name and no general reading role carries it:
You do not hold the permission that shows private information about an employee.
- Private information holds Date of birth, Nationality, Personal email, Personal phone, Home address, City, Country, Emergency contact and Emergency contact phone. Press Edit to change any of them.
- Under Identity documents only the last four digits are ever on screen. Show in full opens one in full, and you should know before you press it:
Showing a document in full is recorded in the activity log, with who asked and about whom.
- In the form, a document number box is empty on purpose and does not mean the document is missing:
Leave this empty to keep what is on file. Anything typed here replaces it.
- Where wages are sent takes Account holder, Account number, Bank and Bank or branch code. There is no button that reveals an account number, on any screen, to anybody:
An account number is never shown again once it is saved. Leave this empty to keep the one on file.
- Changing where wages go needs the pay permission as well as this one. Without it the four boxes are absent rather than greyed out:
Changing where wages are sent needs the pay permission as well. You can see the details and not alter them.
- Press Save. A field you emptied is cleared; a field you did not touch is left exactly as it was.
Nothing verified the account number you typed, and the panel says so rather than letting a stored value read as a checked one: Nothing checked this account number. Your country pack does not say how an account is written here, so it was stored exactly as it was typed.
