State how long a working week is
This is the one setting that everything else divides by. How long a contracted week is, day by day. Every hourly rate, half day of leave and overtime hour in this app is worked out from it.
You need
hr.contracts.create
Steps
- Open Contracts. Working weeks sits above the list of contracts, on the same screen and under the same permissions. Press New working week.
- Give it a Name — “Office”, “Shop floor” — then type the minutes worked on each day. The days appear in your country’s own order, not Monday first, and a rest day is nought.
- Minutes, not hours, all the way through. The Hours a week: line under the boxes adds up as you type, and a week with no working time at all cannot be saved: a divisor of nothing makes every figure derived from it answer nothing.
- Full-time week, in minutes states what a full week is in this business, so a shorter one can be read against it.
What a full week is here, so a part-time week can be stated as a fraction of it. Leave empty if nobody has decided.
- Tick Use this when a contract names none on the week most of the business is on. A contract that names none then uses it, and the row carries Used when a contract names none.
- Press Create. To change a week later, press Edit on its row — the whole week is written again, so read all seven days before you save.
Whether these hours are within the ordinary week where you are is a question this product will not answer for you: Your country pack does not state an ordinary working week, so nothing here can say whether these hours are within it.
