Add the places your stock is held

Warehouses lists the places stock can sit — a store room, a van, a shop floor. Every quantity anywhere in the suite is a quantity in one of these places.

You need

• bizsuite.warehouses.create

Steps

1. Open Warehouses and press Add warehouse.
2. Give it a short code you will recognise on a document — it has to be unique — and a name, and choose whether it is a Warehouse or a Branch.
3. Save it. It can now be chosen wherever goods are received, moved or delivered.
4. Most businesses start with one. Add another only when stock is genuinely held in more than one place, because each place is counted separately.

The places the books use to balance stock movements are never listed here and cannot be created from this screen.
