Plan a delivery route and get proof at the door
For a distributor delivering to shops, restaurants and hotels: turn the day’s sales orders into one route, load it, collect proof at each door and close it.
Steps
- Under Delivery Routes, plan a route from the confirmed sales orders that are due and not on another open route. Each order becomes one drop with its delivery note. While the route is only planned you can add, remove and reorder orders.
- Choose the crew. If Logistics has active vehicles, pick the vehicle and driver there; otherwise type the driver’s name and the plate. Print the load sheet, which lists the items by lot with their use-by dates.
- Load the route. Every note is dispatched in one go, and one expired lot on any drop stops the whole load.
- At each door, record what was delivered line by line, and give a reason for a short line: short, refused or damaged. Take a signature or a typed name, a photo and a note. For a failed drop, record that nothing was delivered.
- Close the route. Refused goods go back to the shelf they left and damaged goods go to a quarantine place. For each refused or damaged line of a partial drop, choose to send it again or to credit it. A credit is only proposed; nobody is credited until a person issues it.
Closing a route needs its own permission, Delivery routes: Close; drivers can record drops without it. Issuing a credit needs the credit-notes permission.
