Log your hours on a timesheet

A timesheet says which project your hours went to. You fill it in from My HR, your manager approves it, and the approved hours can decide your pay and the project’s labour cost.

Steps

  1. Open My HR, then More and Timesheet. Choose the Week.
  2. Press Log hours for each piece of work: the Project, the day, the Hours and, if you like, a Note (optional). The time you clocked that day is shown beside it.
  3. When the week is complete, press the button to send it for approval at the end of the week. It reaches your line manager as a Timesheet request.
  4. Your manager approves or rejects it in Approvals. Approved hours are final. If the week is rejected, or you withdraw it, the hours go back to draft so you can correct them and send again.
  5. HR sees the same hours on Timesheets, with Labour cost by project: approved hours multiplied by each person’s cost.

Whether timesheets decide your pay is set for each person by HR: Measured by approved timesheets pays the approved hours, and Attendance, with timesheet differences flagged pays by attendance and flags the days where the two disagree. See Why pay changed: attendance decides pay.
