Record money the shop has spent

Money this shop spends, so the finance figures are not just takings. Without these, the finance figures are takings and nothing else.

You need

• pos.expenses.read
• pos.expenses.create
• pos.expenses.update

Steps

1. Open Expenses and press New expense.
2. Set the Date date, the Amount and who it was Paid to.
3. File it under a Category — that is what lets the overview show more than one lump.
4. Tick Tax is reclaimable where the tax on it can be reclaimed, because that is what carries it into the tax summary’s reclaim side.
5. Save. Use Edit expense to correct one, or Delete this expense to remove it: The record is removed from the books; the audit trail keeps both acts.

These feed Finance and Tax Summary. The screen turns read-only once Accounting is installed AND the till’s ledger crossing is on, and spending is recorded there instead.
