Group the catalogue so the till is quicker

How the catalogue is grouped on the till and in reports. It is meant to stay a short list — nested one level and no deeper.

You need

• pos.products.read
• pos.products.create

Steps

1. Open Categories and press New category.
2. Give it a Name, and if it belongs under another one, say which in Sits under.
3. Use Order to decide where it sits in the list, rather than renaming things to force them into alphabetical order.
4. Press Edit category on a row to change either later.

Every product is filed under one of these on Products, and Reports can break takings down by them. Group your products and they are quicker to find on the till.
