Seat a table from the floor plan

The dining room as your manager laid it out, one tab per area. Each table says whether it is available or seated, and a seated table shows its party, the dishes ready at the pass and the dishes not yet sent to the kitchen.

You need

  • pos.floor.read

Steps

  1. Open Floor plan and pick the area’s tab. A table can be opened only from a till with an open shift — Open a shift and count the float in.
  2. Tap an available table, say how many guests there are, and press Open the table. The check opens on this till’s register.
  3. On the check, use Add to order for each dish, then Send all to kitchen so the order reaches Kitchen display. The prices are the till’s own; none is typed here.
  4. Tap a seated table to come back to its check. From there, if your role allows it, Move table and Merge are on hand, and Pay settles it as Take a payment in cash, by card, or split between both describes.

Laying out the room — Add area, Add table and Arrange the room — needs pos.floor.manage. Without it you see the room and serve it, but you do not move the furniture.
