Sell a combo meal
A combo is a product with slots to choose from, priced as one figure.
Steps
- On Products, make a combo. A required slot offers options, and one is always taken; the default is the one that comes with it. An upsell slot offers none or one, and never by default. Each option is a product with a quantity and an upcharge.
- At the till, the combo asks for the choices. The upcharges are added into the combo’s unit price, which is taxed, promoted, discounted and refunded as one figure.
- The receipt and the kitchen ticket show the components. Stock is taken from each component through its own item or recipe; a combo cannot have a stock link of its own, and a return puts the components back.
- You can edit a combo while a table is open: its slots and options keep their identity, so the open table can still be settled.
