Look up an account customer

Shoppers you know by name — for receipts, returns and loyalty. Like the supplier list, this reads the same shared party list the rest of the suite uses.

You need

• pos.customers.read

Steps

1. Open Customers and use Search by name, email or phone.
2. Each row gives the Name, the Email and the Phone.
3. There is no create button here, and the screen explains rather than hides it: This is the whole suite’s customer list, so anyone added in CRM or Business Suite appears here. Adding one from the till is waiting on the pos.customers.create permission.
4. A sale rung to an account names somebody from this list, and so does an invoice raised on Invoices.

Attaching a sale to a name is what lets a return be found without the paper receipt later. Add a customer to attach their sales, returns and loyalty to a name.
