What came in, what went out, and what is still owed — for this shop alone. Before you read a single figure, read the banner at the top — it tells you whose books these are.

Steps

1. Open Finance.
2. If it says POS is keeping its own books, this app is keeping its own books and nothing here has been near a general ledger: These figures cover this app only. Install Accounting when you want one ledger for the whole business.
3. If it says Accounting owns the ledger, two things are both true — the Accounting app is installed AND the till’s crossing into the ledger has been switched on. Neither alone does it, and it never happens by itself. These figures are a read-only slice of what is already posted in Accounting. Record new entries there.
4. Then read the figures: Income, Expenses and Net; Outstanding and Overdue across Invoices; and Tax collected against Tax due.
5. When the ledger is linked, Open in Accounting takes you to where new entries are made instead.

Every figure here covers this till alone. Nothing else in the suite is added in, and nothing here reaches another app.
